Beta terms and privacy
Vitra Bahira is in beta: a small number of businesses use it before it is finished, and tell us what is wrong. This page says what that means for you, in plain words.

Vitra Bahira is not listed with the Inland Revenue Department yet, so a bill made in it is not a valid tax invoice. Every bill it prints says so at the very top:

Keep issuing your tax invoices the way you do today, and use Vitra Bahira beside them. When we are listed, bills from that day print without the notice. Bills made during the beta keep it forever, so a trial bill can never pass for a real one.
Your data is yours
- Download everything, at any time, free. Settings → Your data → Download a backup gives you the whole account in one sealed file: items, parties, every bill, both ledgers, the activity log and your photos.
- It works on every plan, and it keeps working after a trial or a plan ends.
- Your books never lock. If a plan ends you can still open and read everything; only adding new entries stops.
- If you leave, tell us and we will delete your business and its records within 30 days, after giving you the chance to download them. Because tax law requires it, we keep one sealed copy of your books: it is never opened in the app, and it is handed over only if the tax office demands it, until the legal retention period ends.
Where your data is kept
Your records are stored with Neon, a database service, on servers in Singapore, and the app runs on Cloudflare. Logos, payment QR codes and photos you upload are kept with Cloudflare too, and our emails are sent through Resend. All three are outside Nepal.
A billing system listed with the IRD must run on a server inside Nepal, so we will move there before we are listed. We will tell you before the move, and your data moves with you.
What we can see, and what we can't
We see what we need to run the service: your business name, who is on your team, your plan, when you last used the app, and how many bills you have made. We never open your bills, your customers, your stock or your balances, and there is no button that lets us sign in as you.
If you want help with your numbers, invite us as an Accountant in Settings → Team, and remove us when we are done. An Accountant can look and export but cannot change anything, and stays in your team list for as long as we are there.
When the app breaks, it sends us which screen failed, with any search text removed, because a search can name one of your customers. If you send us feedback, we see what you typed.
Your customers' details
You add your customers' and suppliers' names, phone numbers, PAN and addresses. We keep them only to run your books. We never contact them, never share or sell them, and never use them for advertising. There are no advertising or tracking scripts in Vitra Bahira.
Beta means mistakes are possible
We test every change, and the books are built so that a saved entry cannot be quietly changed. But this is a beta, and things will go wrong. So:
- Check the figures with your accountant before you file a VAT return made from Vitra Bahira. We cannot take responsibility for a return filed from beta figures without that check.
- Download your data once a month and keep the file. We back up the database too, but a copy in your hands is one nobody can lose.
- Tell us when something looks wrong: Settings → Tell us something, or the contacts at the end of this page.
Price during the beta
If we invited you to the beta, Vitra Bahira is free for as long as the beta lasts. If that ever changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before, and you can download everything and leave.
Emails
We only email you about your account: a password reset you asked for, a note before a trial or plan ends, and our price when you ask us for a change made for your business. No newsletters and no marketing.
Changes to this page
If we change these terms, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed.
